Interactive Audiovisual Installation

Description

Public Space, Latent space is a work by Victor Drouin Trempe and Danny Perreault that continues the research initiated with the project Trëma (2023). It is an immersive installation that combines artificial intelligence and audiovisual creation within a novel sculptural environment: a multidimensional cubic screen. Surrounded by an eight-speaker immersive sound system, the work invites visitors to enter a sensitive space where image, sound, and algorithms interact in real time.

At the core of the installation, an artificial agent learns from human interactions. Visitors are invited to co-compose the work by influencing the evolution of visual and sonic atmospheres through their spontaneous feedback. Using a reinforcement learning approach, the agent adapts to the audience’s preferences, generating a unique audiovisual experience that is continuously evolving.
